As electronics lead of the university racing team, designed the BMS, fuel cell controller, 3-phase BLDC driver and boost converter. Awards at TÜBİTAK and Shell Eco-marathon.

Overview

From 2020 to 2023 I was part of UMAKİT, Bursa Uludağ University’s electric vehicle team, and led the electronics sub-team during the 2021–2022 season.

Boards we designed as a team

  • Battery Management System (BMS)
  • Fuel cell controller (for the hydrogen vehicle category)
  • 3-phase BLDC motor driver
  • Boost converter

We used KiCad and Altium Designer (up to 4 layers), LTspice for simulation and STM32 on the firmware side.

Awards (2022)

  • TÜBİTAK Efficiency Challenge, Hydromobile: 1st place in performance and Special Jury Award
  • Shell Eco-marathon Europe & Africa: 2nd in Technical Innovation, 2nd in Safety, 6th in Efficiency
